Need help: Catalina 22 mkii vs Hunter 240

Maybe we can come follow you guys to catalina island sometime. Wed like to do some saltwater sailing, but would prefer to start out going in tandem or groups kinda like the conch cruisers used to do.
We've got two cruises to Catalina Island this year. The first trip will be with the Venture Yacht Club here in San Diego,(the club for "trailer sailors"), in June. We'll trailer up to Dana Point and sail to the south end of the island to the city of Avalon. Our second trip will be in July with our friends of the SoCal Potters. We'll trailer up to Long Beach and depart Alamitos Bay and cruise to the north end of the island arriving at Two Harbors. We've never been to Avalon yet, so that will be neat! This will be our 3rd trip to Two Harbors. It's such a beautiful island, so close, and yet so far.... We have friends that sail their WB C-250 out of San Diego and spend several weeks exploring the island. You can go to the SoCal Potter's web site and look at the pictures from past events. Ill run it by the wife, before I bother you with too many details... She has a big case coming up this year, and we may spend the summer hitting texoma alot getting me used to the new boat and her used to sailing. but I am going to that site now to check it out
