I'm about 25 miles downstream from Charleston, just above the last lock on the Kanawha. Did you know "Five Dollar" Frank Thomas in Fayetteville back in the day? I never met him, but he was a living legend around here.
Need help building an outboard motor mount

I just went with a single piece of wood for now. No drill press for the box idea. Took her out and it worked perfectly but it was extremely calm (next to no wind). The prop did seem to come up a little when I was up front on the boat removing ropes. I forgot to check inside to see if the mount screws into there but will next time I'm out. Really wish the boat was closer but still on a wait list for the marina I want.
