I want to get a good quality rode (don't need chain) at a fair price. I've checked WM, Defender, Sailnet, and Boat US. Am I missing a better deal? Thanks.

If you have a windlass

Don't go for the best price, they don't all work. I learned this lesson the hardway and now have an extra 150' 1/2 rode now from Boater's World. If you want a deal on this size let me know. I'm just accross the river from you. dcdon@hotmail.com

Marc: I have seen the line that they sell at the home improvement centers. I would not trust this stuff to hold my boat for anytime at all.

Defender

Drive up to defender in Waterford, Ct. They have remnants of line you can buy in the back room for cheap!!

anchor rode

How 'bout Home Depot and splice the eye yourself? Seems to me half-inch 3-strand nylon is pretty much the same, no matter where you buy it.
