Catalina 30 Mexico
Our Cat 30 has lived in La Paz Mexico for the past 14 years. We live aboard for 5-6 months each winter. Now my wife wants to make a quilt for the forward berth, but we are 1500 miles away to take measurements. We drove several hours to the closest marina to see if we could find an owner aboard, but did not (saw lots of Cat 30s). We are in San Luis Obispo, CA and would drive again if someone would be aboard. Or...perhaps some kind person who has access to their 30 would measure the forward berth for us. Just the one side cushion that we could double would work. Thanks.

We are at our boat and though I am not willing to pull the v berth apart to measure I have measurements for you:

80 inches at the widest ( as you climb in)
80 inches from each of those corners to the tip of the V
16 inches across at the narrowest part at the V .

Hope that makes sense, can't think how to draw it only cell. Cheers!

Sure!! Let me know if you want to put a nova foam topper on ( it's fantastic!) and we'll tell ya what siZe to get and how we measured! Would not love our v berth without it! Have fun making your quilt!

I'm in the market as were . Colonial Beach
I bought a king sized memory foam egg shell matress cover. I cut it to fit my V-berth. It makes a huge difference and it makes it much more comfortable in there. It was a cheap but good thing.
