Need door for aft head (main cabin entry) for 2005 H41AC

One of my crew fell through the door to the aft head (from the main cabin) on my 2005 H41AC and turned it into lumber. The lower door panel was fractured on the melamine side and most annoyingly someone managed to lose a piece that fractured off the upper arch of the door that will prevent me from repairing it properly.

I have contacted HunterOwners.com and received no reply from anyone which is disappointing... :sosad:
Does anyone know where I might find a replacement door or parts?

  1. Can I get a complete replacement door (no latch required). This is a door that has melamine panels on the interior of the door.
  2. Can I get just the upper portion (arch) of the door as that is the part that is missing a chunk out of it.
  3. Can I get a replacement melamine panel (or the source where it can be purchased) that has the cherry veneer on one side?
  4. If none of the above is possible - does anyone know where I might be able to find a used one from a salvage vessel?

Ouch ! has to be a story there !.. Make an accurate full size tracing of the arch then take that and the remnants to a local cabinet shop..They can probably make a better one.. Good luck with it, Bob
(did ya beat the offending party with its remnants as should have happened?)

I do’t think Hunter has a door laying around for sure and cabinet maker or furniture
repair shop and make the nut pay who did the damage.

I am curretnly working to replace the stern rail on my 49 and had the same kind issues getting help. I was about to pay a fortune for a custom built job when my harassment calls to Marlow/Hunter and Hunterowners finally paid off. Try calling Joe Kerr at the Marlow /Hunter factory and Al Fooks at Hunterowners after calling each many times they partnered to solve my problem. Joe providing specs and Al finding a manufacturer to produce it.

Yes, the klutz that went through the door will be paying for the repair. Still, $$ don't really offset the hassle of trying to get the door repaired or replaced.

Kevin,

Thanks for the references. I have emailed Al Fooks but received no response :-( I'll try contacting Joe Kerr at the Marlow /Hunter factory.
