Need cradle infos!

I just bought a Hunter 28.5 1986 and I need to built a cradle for her. (The boat will come by road and I need to build the cradle before she's home in December.) mario do you have a welding machine?

the marina near my house uses ajustable one's. they look really easy to make. they take some heavy wood and place it under the keel. if i were you i would go to boat storage and measure the ones you like and make yours adjustable you will be way happier and later you could selll it or otherwise give it away when you get tired of it. i buy the steel at a local recyclor, 25c a lbs. sometimes you can get things there that cn be modified for what you want, and save a lot of cutting and welding. if you want me to send you a plan i can try but seeing for yourself might help you more.let me know if you definetly can't make your own plan and ill mail you one. good luck its a super easy project.

Why a cradle?

Mario;Are you sure you really want a cradle? My 27' Watkins come with it's original shipping cradle. While it's very stable, I couldn't drop an individual support to paint the hull. For my Hunter 33 I use good old poppits, or boat stands if you prefer, easy to drop one and paint. Also much easier to get one of those fancy boat hauling trailers under. Just my viewpoint.

Check Don Robertsons Cradles and trailers on the net. Based In Toronto There is also another Cradle shop in Markham Ontario but I can't recall the name.
