Need Catalina 27 Tall Rig Mast

Just took possesion of a 1982 Catalina 27' tall rig. There is a crease in the mast about 3/4 of the way up. I believe that it must be replaced rather than fixed - though any ideas are welcome. Has anyone had any luck or knowledge in finding a replacement mast for an out-of-production model. Catalina said that they don't deal with this anymore.

I would have a rgging shop look at it. you might not need a new mast. Or if you do, they might be able to get one.

You'd be surprised how well a damaged mast can be repaired, possibly by cutting it and inserting a section inside.But...Are you _sure_ Catalina won't sell you a mast? That is crazy. Or did you get some new hire that was confused?This is from the 1995 parts list:H6010 MAST COMPLETE - STD 1073.60H6020 MAST EXTRUSION - STD 739. 70H6030 MAST COMPLETE - TALL 1139.30H6040 MAST EXTRUSION - TALL 782.30If the standing rigging is original, might best replace that too while you are at it. About $1000-$1500 I'd guess.Where in the country are you?
