Gary - understand you want to be conteacted for surveyor recommendations but if you put your e-mail address in a post it can be 'harvested' and you'll get spammed. It's possible to remove it within 24 hours of the original post by selecting your post and then selecting "edit". Just for info. With regard to surveyors here I don't know of anyone in particular but there are a couple organizations: http://www.marinesurvey.org/ http://www.nams-cms.org/ A good surveyor web site for general information: http://yachtsurvey.com/ If you haven't done so already, check out the Hunter Vision 32 section on this web site at: http://www.sailboatowners.com/boats/model.tpl?sku=30179116948426&fno=0&bts=T (also link below) Hope this helps until you can get more information.

Andy, let me check my file at home

as I had hull, engine and rigging surveys done this winter in Seattle for a Hunter 37C, which I did buy. Scott

Another opinion

I used Bill Evans (Blue Water Maine Surveys) for my 1991 30T in April and was very pleased with the work. He produced a 27 page report with pictures and sent me two copies (one for the insurance co.) He charged me $11/foot and I felt it was a fair price. Bill is at 206-932-2415. I had a 1998 28' Hunter surveyed in Anacortes, WA by another surveyor that the broker picked and got one copy of an 11 page report that I felt was pretty much worthless and was charged over $11/foot. Good luck, Carl

Andy, I used Lynn Reister in Seattle

for the hull survey, she is at 206-282-6003. I bought the boat she surveyed and since this was my first boat I shadowed her and pestered her with a million questions. Got her name from my insurance broker. She was also sensitive to the issue of structuring the survey process to maximize the potential negociation leverage in the purchase /sale transaction as it developed. I can't find my engine and rigging surveys, but I think Lynn made recommendations for these surveyors. Scott
