need aft cockpit lazarette cover

help... my lazarette cover has fallen and i can't get it up. seriously, my lazarette cover is at the bottom of the drink and catalina no longer has one for a 1974 27. any ideas, or better yet, does anyone have a spare one?

replacement lazarette

Chances of finding a replacement for your early model are slim. I would manufacture one. Just make a thin wooden one and glass over it on both sides.

Great idea! See, systemthree.com, for info on epoxy resin products. Be sure to use "exoxy" resin and varnish the surface when you are done as the bare fiberglass has no U.V. protection and will break down over time. It will require a marine finish, most all of which contain U.V. protection.
