My Allied Seawind has a horizontal barrel windlass. After removing the right side (chain side) pieces, cleaning and reassembling it, it slips badly no matter how hard I tighten the side wheel that pushes the friction plate against it. There is no lubricant of any kind on any of these pieces, so it is not a case misapplied lubricant like sometime happens when winches are greased. I don't believe I lost any pieces, but just in case here are the parts: 1. The outside nut with spokes. This is what is used to engage (tighten) the clutch. When turned clockwise, it pushes the (2) round cone-shaped plate that in turn pushes against the (3) larger plate that finally pushes against the (4) inner surface of the chain sprocket. There are no other parts. Any advice? Randal s/V shearwater
