O'day Daysailer II Cocoa Beach
I installed a pair of davits, good for 1,000 lbs each, to lift and keep my Daysailer II out of the water. Need help in determining where to place straps under the hull since I do not think the stern cleats or the trailer pull-out eye bolt are strong enough to hold the boat in the air. I have a spreader bar that I thought I could use for the stern. I reckon that having thru U bolts on the transom would work nice but I don't think I can get a backing plate installed, though I must add that I have a robust engine mount to starboard.
Thanking all you sailors in advance.

I'd try asking on the Day Sailer Class Association Forum, www.daysailer.org
Perhaps someone there could help, but not "super" critical as long as boat is supported evenly, as you are only talking about 600-700# of boat.
