Hello all, I am hopefully going to be checking out our new H-260 within the next few weeks, including inspection and sea trials with the dealer. I would like to know if anyone has further specific items of concern other than the ones below I found in the archives: leaks under galley / ? from water ballast tank leaks from mating of hull mold to upper section centerboard line problems steering cable tensioning motor remote control problems trailer tongue weight I'd love to hear from anyone. To save you some time, Dave, you need not reply (you're selling me the boat).

Enjoy it!

Get used to the feel of sailing your new boat. Learn the idiosyncrasies of a water ballast (if that's new to you). We just bought a 26 (from Dave) and we're getting used to the difference from a keel. Get a feel for when to reef and practice docking. But above all, don't worry about potential structural problems. That's what you have Dave for. He knows your boat like he built it himself and he'll worry about that. Have a great time (and bring a video camera, you'll forget a lot)!!!

If Dave's doing your boat.....

You probably don't need a check list other than stuff like - 1. Drinks 2. Ice 3. Sun screen 4. Snacks 5. PFC's etc..

Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I'm glad to know my dealer has such a good reputation. Hopefully we'll get to see the final result soon.
