Tom, that was our cruising groups favorite motto

Either that or a motor-home. But unless you are very mechanical, they are not very cerebral. :)

I disagree with the suggestion that you jump ...

into a 45 foot vessel, trawler or sailing. I've heard of singles and couples living on a 28 foot sailboat. A little cramped but ours had a two burner alcohol stove, hot and cold running water, private head with shower, furnace, etc. We began with making a list of the things we wanted on our first boat, an H28. We found one at the price we could afford and had it for three years before upgrading to our current boat. Spend time on a list of how you want it equipped and agree on it. Visit your local marina to check out boats that are for sale. We went to a few boat shows, too. Good luck on your new adventure. Terry

I am just listening to what people want.

Very stable plenty of room only sail in perfect weather wind preferablelly less thatn 5kts. AC Refrigerator double bed real springs No big sails to handle with my arthritis. 1500 square ft of space. Lots of deck space for my huge dingy and by the way most of the time I'll be traveling the intracoastal waterway as I'm afraid of the ocean!!!! 29days out of 30 we expect to be tied to the dock. Most importanly my wife can't stand to heel more than 3 degrees!!!!! Did we mention 110 power water maker hot showers every night and a freezer for the steaks??? And finally our only sailing experience is one lesson at church camp when we were 12!!!!
