Need advice : Depth sounder trouble repair

Hello all,
New to the forum and looking for help trouble shooting my old autohem depth sounder problem. My depth sounder now always reading 0.0' regardless of depth. Attached photo shows the system when it was working right few years ago. What is my next step in the trouble shooting of this system? What repair options for this unit are still available? If anyone knows any idea, pelase advise.

Since the display unit is displaying I'd try checking the underwater side of the depth transducer to see if there is something growing on it. Also check the connections from the transducer where they attach to the display head

Hey Mon!...Be cool ...get yourself a humming bird 100 boat bucks and call it a day. They even have a model now that has a display that will fit in the same spot as the display you have now. But if your smart get the model that shows a graph contour of the bottom . I have a 500 dollar ray marine depth display and I find myself relying on the humming bird way more. I hardly ever even look down at the ray. Don't even bother to take the cover off.

If your unit is reading 0.0, I agree with it might being a transducer problem. Like a lot of electronics, sometimes just unplugging the cable and putting it back in again, fixes it. If you send in your unit to a Ray Marine repair center, they can bench test the unit and get it back to you in good working order. Good winter project. If the unit head checks out ok, then you probably need a new transducer if all cabling is intact. If you can send them both the unit head and transducer, then they can check it all out. The unit head is easy to remove. Not so the transducer sometimes.
