Need a Surveyor

I am looking at a boat in the Clinton Ct area and may need to find a surveyor in the area. Anyone have a good experience with one lately? The last one that I used missed a lot of things . Thanks,GregPS: I hate to admit it but the next boat will most likely be a trawler.

Marine surveyor

Greg, I used Dexter Holiday of Noank. His number is (860) 536-8573. It cost me $488 to survey an O28 and he was gracious enough to allow me to be present and answered all my questions. I found his verbal and formal findings to be 'right on'. I would not hesitate to use him if I were looking at another boat. Good luck and good sailing,Bill, O22 Closure, O28 Aroundtuit

Excellant fella has been a surveyor since Noah. really knows his stuff power and sail. I forget his rates but I remember them as being inline with others. Best of luck

Surveyor

I used New England Yacht Services. They are in Essex, Ct. (869-767-7251), Art Gallotte is the name of the surveyor who helped me. The fee was $550 for a 32 ft. boat. He was very thorough and I was with him when he did the survey. I would definitely use them again.
