Hi, last week I shared with everyone the humiliating mistake I made at the top of the season. I managed to pull out my main halyard from the mast and now have no way of going up the mast (I don't have any harness and only have 1 jib halyard left which can conceivably take me up the mast if I had all of the gear). I attempted to take down the mast, but after much preparation, research and advise from others in this forum, I realized that this was too risky for me and I had to acknowledge defeat.I am now writing to find out if anyone is aware of a rigger that I can contact to go up my mast and drop a new main halyard. My boat is a C&C 24 and is docked in Brooklyn, NYC. I contacted a local company out of NJ but cannot seem to get a firm price and a schedule for this job. BTW is $200 reasonable for this job? If anyone is interested or knows of someone please contact me at tonylitvak using the hotmail address.
