I want to put a port the forward wall of my cockpit, next to the companionway, where there was once two instruments. It would be nice if it was an opening port for extra galley ventilation. Anyone have any ideas?

The downside of the Becksons is that the outside has a large lip, so you wouldn't be able to lean back against it, although they are great ports with super support from the vendor and always have parts available. New Found Metals have great ports that you could lean back against but are far more expensive.
I found a Beckson self draining port on this site, and I bought it...looks like just what the doctor ordered. Thanks for your help!
