What size is the anchor roller on a 1994 Legend 37.5?? Mine just fell apart. I'm coming back to the states in about 3 weeks and would like to bring one back with me.

I looked there first. They don't list one for the Legend 37.5. One of the ones they have might work, but since I'm not sure exactly what size I need, I'm hesitant to buy one. It's not like I can send it back from Panama if it's the wrong one!

Perhaps I am not understanding, but if you know the width between the support arms, the max diameter of the roller that would fit, and the through bolt diameter, would that not allow you to just look on the shelf at say West Marine and choose the best fit?

I've made 3 for a pal with an H36 that he keeps in the Mediterranean. On my lathe I turned the first from a billet of white polypropylene he bought. Problem was the UV in the sunlight which destroyed his original roller began to do the same with the new one; so I got hold of a piece of black polypropylene rod and made him a couple more rollers. The pigment in the black material prevents the ultra violet from penetrating the surface so his rollers should last a few more years than the originals did.

I suggest you disregard any white ones available from the Hunter store and get a couple made out of black material.

I have devised a solution that uses off-the-shelf rollers and will fit to the bow roller of my 40.5. I suspect that the same solution will work for many of the other Hunters of a similar size.

The biggest problem of replacements is that the available rollers either are the wrong design, material, or the dimensions of width, diameter, and spindle hole size don't match what is required.

Phil at the SBO store has my solution but I don't think he has had time to put together a solution "kit", and I am not 100% sure that it will work on the other Hunters without knowing the dimensions of width, diameter, and pin size.

Why don't you send him an email and ask about it. I want to support the store that provides this site so Phil has first dibs on providing the replacements.

I did put in a request from the store's website, so we will see what he can come up with. Thanks.
