We purchased our 2001 Beneteau 411 in Charleston last fall. Both Marine Airr systems worked just fine. It has the digital stats which provides for atuo changeover from A/C to heat. We just moved the boat to its permanent home port on Lake Superior and being a little cooler up here have just used the heat. It has been about 2 months since it was in salt water, and used in the cooling mode. I went to switch into cooling this past weekend and upon doing so the units (both of them) would kick out with the HHH error message displayed. This means no cooling water. When i run in heat mode the water pump runs fine and the system functions fine. I lower the stat so it calls for cooling, i can hear the switch or solinoid go on the unit and the water stops flowing. within a minute i get the error message.

How do I go about clearing out the lines, and is that nessecarily the problem?? Of course where they are mounted it is almost impossible to get at any part of them.
Can an Acid flush be done with the boat in the water??
Has anyone else had a similar problem after pulling a boat from salt water?

It is doubtful that the problem is in the water lines since you say the pump runs in heat. More than likely the problem is the circuit board but rather than take a shotgun approach and just start replacing parts you need a service tech to come in and check the system to determine exactly what the problem is. I had a similar problem, darn it, and the problem was in the programmable thermostat. I was ready to junk the whole unit. Did flushes, etc to no avail. After talking to the Marine Air tech rep, I changed the thermostat to a simpler version that required a manual switch from heat to cool and the problem was solved.

Wow. That doesn't seem like it makes sense, but i will definatly check it out. At least i can get at the stats to replace them. It also seem odd that both stats would go out at the same time. But i guess it is just as odd that both units would have the same plug or clog at the same time.
Do you know of a way to test the digital stats to confirm that being the problem??

Contact Marine Airrr, you have a problem that most likely is related to programing of the stats. Ask them to send you a manual and go thru the checklist/troubleshooting guide. I had a similar problem with the same system when I first got my Hunter 38. I would go into more detail but I'm not at the boat and won't be for a couple weeks.
