We are moving from Michigan to Charleston, SC, and will need to have our boat put back together after shipping her down. We are planning to use lockview marina (NY)to ship her. Anyone know of a good rigger in the Charleston area? Thinking about using Charleston Boat Works. Any advice or recommendations for this move are appreciated! Thanks.

Give Neil Haynes (Blue Water Surveys) a call in Charleston. He is a fantastic source in Charleston for contacts and has been a surveyor for over 25 years. He can give you good direction.

Charleston Boatworks would be my ONLY choice. Since they reorganized, they are even better than before. Neil Haynes would be my ONLY choice for survey, but will help with other questions as well - lots of experience. Was a great help two years ago when Evergreen spilled 12,500 gallons of number 2 bunker fuel in the Cooper River and fouled 150 boats in my marina as well as most of the Harbor.
