Are there any boat yards in the area, Clearwater to Anclote River, that will allow bottom work to be done by the owner of the boat? I looking for a short haul for my Hunter 27.

I take it your Hunter is in the water

I am sure there are a few up the river to Tarpon Springs. I've been down there trying to get parts for an old boat. I haven't been far up the river while boating. The yards I went to looked equiped. I think the question would probably be, how crowded are they? If you trailer it there are all kinds of places of course. All I have imparted is what you probably alread know. Good luck

I am in the water now

Most every yard I've been too won't let you work on your own boat. State regs or whatever. I have been to a few on the Anclote. No luck.

How about a little Southeast of Clearwater?

Bahia Beach Marina allows do-it-yourself unless they've changed their policy in the last month.Check the attached link.

Hauled at salt creek last spring and did my own work. But talked to former mgr. last week and heard there has been some changes to the yard personel. Check it out close!
