need a 30 amp westerbeke alternator

need a 35 amp westerbeke alternator

Does anyone know where I could purchase a 35 amp alternator for a 10-2 westerbeke engine. My casing has cracked and not repairable. The mount is 1 1/2 inches. I could use the 50 amp that is easy to purchase, however the mount is 2 1/2 inches to big.

I suggest you CALL them on the telephone (remember that?). Really helpful guy named Bob helped me find what I needed, but then said you get a better price when ordering online.

My resource for Westerbeke 10-2 parts has been either Dennis or Steve at Lakewood
Yacht Service. They are in the Houston area - 281-474-2885. Hopefully they can be of great service to you too. Patrick

I normally use toadmarinesupply.com for westerbeke parts, since all the manuals and parts list are online ( http://www.marinedieseldirect.com/c...404&printparts=&printservice=&printoperators= ).



You'll see in that manual the alternator is 40amps.

Thanks Captain: I did go on that site an found the alternator. It has been up graded to as you said to a 40 amp service. However you must purchase an adopted bracket from Westerbeke for the installation on a 10two. They want $279+tax plus the bracket. Could be $500+
