Since I installed the cables, give me a call. There is a trick. For those of you, I guess I pioneerd the cable controls on the pededsstal. We us 3300 series cables either 10 or 11 feet long. The cables in the pedestal is nto the area of concern. It is the attachment to the motor. When around fresh water I find not being a problem but in a salty environment, that is quit different. I recommend if leaving the cables attachted to the motor, use of a motor cover is suggested as the cables are turned upwards thus allowing water to come in if not covered. After sailing for a while, I suggest taking off the motor and squirt a little lubricant into the cable motor ends while holding into the air.Suggest PB Blaster lubricant if hard to move.As for Jim, please call me today so I can go over some tricks for installing a new cable as it is very hard and you will be yelling XDXXXX.Jim, make sure you do not have any drinks. Joan, please help jmi. Oops I mispelled JimboCrazy Dave Condon
