It is a neat idea. I suppose I never had much trouble using the traditional snorkel and goggles. The wider field of vision is the most impressive thing to me, but I am sure you could find good quality goggles that provide the same.
Looks like a typical gas mask used by the military for years. I'm sure my wife will want one since she loves the water but feels confines in a normal mask.
My wife likes snorkeling, but hates the snorkel... I may have to get her one of these when we get to Europe next month...It may work for her, and at 39Euros thats not a bad price... we shall see.
I saw similar masks for scuba when I used to teach diving. The couple of people I knew who used them loved them. Not until this had I seen them for snorkeling. I will say that one of the first things we had to do with students was to get them used to breathing through the mouth.
I wonder how easy they are to clear if water gets in the mask.
