Thanks Tsatzsue -- tt's always great to hear such awesome feedback from Navionics users! This doesn't really apply since I use Navionics on my S5 but they are fantastic! Absolutely incredible detail. To be available in the palm of your hand still blows my mind!
Glad you got your card and thanks for the initial feedback! I've been playing around with a card for the Caribbean and my wanderlust has got me planning charter routesI got mine a while ago and from what I can see it looks awesome. I can't wait to put it in the water and see it in action
Please be aware that if you update the software on your Garmin the cards will no longer work.. These cards are non-supported by Garmin and they have begun blocking them in software updates...Thanks for all the feedback and thanks to everyone that participated with the beta testing! Woody - I'd love to hear what you think once you get back on the water.
Just an FYI - the Navionics SonarCharts for Garmin GPS are now on the market. Take a look at some of these screenshots:
Did you have to upload the Navionics charts onto your unit? If not, it should just be running off of the SD card so you can pull out the Navionics card and swap back to your old Garmin card. Otherwise, if you press and hold both the quit button and power button, that should prompt you to initiate a factory reset, if needed.I installed the navionics. I didn't ask but is it possible to go back to the original that came with the Garmin? Not that I see that it needs to be done, just curious if it can be "factory reset".
Yes, this is true. If you update to version 2015.0202 or newer Garmin has prevented the use of Navionics and other third party charts, but Navionics has said to contact customer service (help@navionics.com or 1-800-848-5896) if you run into compatibility issuesPlease be aware that if you update the software on your Garmin the cards will no longer work..
