So... My Masthead and spreader lights don't work. and I need to replace the spreader boots... Looking for suggestions... Probably best to drop the mast and rewire everything all at once with leds and new coax for the antenna... could put a windvane on also... but any ideas on a cheaper easier fix... That would be great. Tried lifting my kid up with a harness on the main halyard... dang he's heavy... so looking for tricks... and go..!

I've been to the top of a mast in a 'bosuns' chair before just not on this boat... I don't remember this being this difficult... especially with a winch... what am I doing wrong?

Over eating?
But seriously, I tried to go up my 48' mast last month. My friend in his 50's couldn't winch me up.
So, we switched places. I got his 145 lbs up with some effort.
Why the diff? I weigh 180lbs and he doesn't work out (on his boat either).
I'm 71 Yrs old, BTW.
I guess I need to lose a few LBS.

The OEM winches on the h27 are small. Use a 12" handle for best leverage but the person going up needs to help himself by climbing hand over hand and pushing with the legs. With the hoisting limitations of the h27 Cherub It is a 3 man job, a climber, a grinder and a tailer.
