I Was sailing last week and when i went to engage the auto pilot i got nothing. It is a Navico model WP300CX. The unit had power, pushed the button to get a solid red light (where autopilot usually takes over), engaged clutch and i get nothing. when i pushed Port / Starboard course correction button i get a tone and flash of light as before but no movement of the wheel. Belt appears to be in good order and engagement lever is fine. Im wondering if any one has ever had a similar problem with this unit and if so what did they do to carrect it. Thanks All Frank

A few ideas

Lights often work even though voltage may be much lower. Have you checked the actual voltage at the unit? Assuming you still have the manual, is there a troubleshooting guide in it? Good luck.

Stu, thanks for the tip, will head down to the boat shortly to check voltage. I do not have a manual for the unit. Any idea were to find it on the web? Thanks, Frank

I have the manual for a WP30

And it really doesn't address your problem. So go to this site and they should be able to help. www.simradusa.com you can also download manuals at this site. Al
