Sorry, I started to answer your post, clicked the wrong link and deleted it!I won't have time to check until later today but it sounds like you've got two different login records. That would cause what you're describing. If you have cookies enabled it should remember you.Avatars only post when you're logged in, but you can always tell because if you're logged in the forum screens will greet you by name. See image.

I often get that greeting but my avatar doesn't show. Then if I (re) logon it does show.Actually today I replied to one post and it had the greeting - but no avatar. Then I went to reply to another post and it "forgot" me (no greeting) and wanted me to fill in my name!If I do post without the avator and then logon and come back to the posty it does not let me edit the post. So, you are right, it sounds like there are two of me!--------------------------------------------OK, I am now editing this post. It seems to work fine from home but my problems may be at the work computer. Maybe I don't have cookies enabled there?? But then how would it greet me? I do often delete all history and other files on the work computer so maybe that complicates things too. Still it is odd to get greeted correctly but no avator. Back to the two of me idea.
