I have been watching eBay and elsewhere for a long time looking for a wireless remote for my Raymarine autopilot. The listings I've seen have always been for more than I wanted to pay so when a post popped up on FaceBook about an open source wireless remote popped up it piqued my interest. I ended up buying the N2K version of Nauti-Control from the company rather than downloading the source code and the PCB design file. I also bought a 6-button 433MHz remote from AliExpress to work with it. The first photo below is the Nauti-Control box itself. It contains an ESP32 system-on-a-chip that has WiFi and a CAN bus controller to interact with the SeaTalkNG or NMEA 2000 network. The board also contains a 433MHZ receiver. When ordering, there are several choices of remote available. I chose the small 4-button remote also shown in the photo.

The second photo is the 6-button remote that I purchased from AliExpress. I configured the buttons as -1 for the top left button and +1 for the top right button. Buttons 3 and 4 are configured as -10 and +10 while the bottom two buttons are configured for Standby and Auto.

So far, I'm very happy with this addition to our Hunter 41AC. The remote works from all areas of the boat and it's handy when we're not right at the helm station to make adjustments to the course.

You can find the company's website by searching for Nauti-Control. They have a series of videos on YouTube showing how the remote works as well as a presence on FaceBook.
