Beneteau Oceanis 31 Nashville
I am in the process of buying a Beniteau Oceanis 31 and moving it to Nashville Tennessee, does anyone have suggestions for the best sailboat marina in that area?
Thanks in advance,
Greg

Our friends who live in Nashville have their boat(s) at a marina in/near Paris Landing. They like the area, the marina and the sailing there. I could ask them the name of the marina.

Paris Landing is no where near Nashville, and although it is on Kentucky Lake, it is the southern most area and sailing is not as good there as further north near the dam. It is on Kentucky Lake and about 2 hours from Nashville.

In the Nashville area check out Harbor Island Yacht Club at 300 Harbr Drive, Old Hickory. They have an active sailing club on Old Hickory Lake.

If you want Kentucky Lake sailing, there are three marinas just south of Kentucky Dam. This is in Grand Rivers, Ky and is a little over 2 hours north of Nashville off I 24. Check out Kentucky Lake Sailing Club at KLSC.net and Lighthouse Landing, Kentucky Dam Marina on Ky Lake and Green Turtle Bay across the canal on Barkley Lake. Not here are other marinas near Nashville on the Cumberland River, but it's too narrow for much sailing.

If you come to Kentucky Lake at Grand Rivers, we'd like to get you involved in the Kentucky Lake Sailing Club, KLSC.net. I'm treasurer and at Lighthouse Landing. Come up for a visit. I think you will really like the sailing and activities there. Grand Rivers is a nice little resort community with great restaurants and a superb community theater.
