Here is a great restoration project on her initial sea trials, short tacking out of Rocky Bayou, Niceville, Fl. Chad, the restorer at Mewhaw? Marine told me he doesn't know what she is. Can anybody help?

It looks like a Sharpie

It looks like a variant of a Sharpie sailboat. The Sharpie class of sailboats was first developed in the 1800’s in the US. The definition of a SHARPIE is..."bowed, flat bottomed skiff. A term usually applied to flat bottomed sailing skiffs over 20 feet in length. All types of rigs were traditionally used..." It looks like it was home-built, I don’t know whose Sharpie sailboat plan was used. Check the link to a gaff rigged Sharpie Ketch sailboat design plan. Fair Winds. Clyde
