Consider contacting Cruising Direct
Mike, consider contacting Cruising Direct (www.cruisingdirect.com), which is a NE firm that is somewhat related to North Sails, who make a very good product. CD, as best I can make out, places orders to the various North production facilities to help them rebalance the loft workloads, and so you may (or may not) have to be a bit patient about delivery - they can tell you when you call. They offer sails in both a generic dacron and also Nordac (their proprietary cloth, which I think is super) and can even build in 'standard' features that you request (reef points, reef cringles on a jib, etc.). A friend with a Pearson 424 recently purchased a full set of their sails and his cost was less than half what a number of the local name-brand lofts quoted him. Yet he got top notch, name-brand sails; not bad!You should probably measure your rig - they can help you do this - just to confirm what your Cat 22 owner's manual tells you.Good luck!Jack
