Does anyone in the Massachusetts/Rhode Island area know of a place to look for a mooring or slip, (within a 30-40 mile distance of Plymouth). I have just bought a fixed-keel 25' and it has been close to immpossible to find one. Any response is greatly appreciated. Mark Crociati mcrociati@aol.com

Have you tried pope Island Marine? This is in the New Bedford harbour and I think fits your requirment fro the 30 to 40 mile radius. This web site has a listing of Marinas in Ma http://rvclassified.com/marinas/zmr-ma.htm Also try the Swansea Marina at: 161 CALEF AVE, SWANSEA MA. 508-672-8633 The prices at Swansea are very reasonable and .... you get acess to Narrangett bay. Of course everyone will tell you - no room but ask - somepeople are always moving Hope this helps ..... James

Located 1/4 mile south of the Barga Bridge (Rt 195). You'll notice that I kept you off of Cape Cod for obvious reasons ($$$ and traffic).

Try Upper Narragansett Bay
I would try Edgewood Yacht Club or Rhode Island Yacht Club. They are both just South of Providence (two minutes). We have a number of people that come from Boston area at our club, RIYC.

Marion Mooring
I just called Burr Bros. in Marion to give up the mooring I had last year. They probably have a waiting list but maybe worth a call. My boat is a 28' O'Day. That harbor is very attractive, you'll love it there. It cost me about $1500 for the season which includes launch service, parking, rest rooms and town fees. Best of luck, Chuck
