Hello all,

I noticed a small amount of water in the bilge compartment directly in front of the galley sink. I sponged the water our, and then noticed the compartment slowly refilling via the aft weep hole. I checked the bilge compartment that is on the other side of that weep hole and it was bone dry. So i thought perhaps the water is coming from a leaky plumbing fitting under the sink, but after running the water I could detect no drips.

Any ideas?

Here is a picture shortly after I sponged out the compartment, and another about five minutes later.

We have same boat . The water is coming in from the limber holes. Those tiny holes about size of a quarter. Get a small tube at the end of any vacuum device and suck dry. You will find about three or more gallons in there.

I had the same problem a couple of years ago. I cleaned it, then found some water again, cleaned it, then found some water again, cleaned it, then.....etc,etc. Eventually the water gave up (!) and since then it's dry.
However, I never found out where the water came from!

I had the same problem in my 331. I made a mess draining the hot water heater and water became trapped between the bilge and hull. I tapped a small clear rubber hose to a shop vac and vacuumed in every crack an crevice I could find. I was at it for hours and sucked up several gallons.

Holy Moly! thanks for the replies, guys. Sounds like there could be a whole lotta water down there. I'll do what you all recommend. Again, thank you so much!

What is a limber hole? I have not heard that before.
