Joe, Thanks for posting the Album. They made it very clear how to make that repair. One quations I had was whether water could seep or be drawn up the joint. You said you doubt it but caulk it if it makes you feel better. I will probably do that.
Now I got to contact Rudy to see if he has the molding in stock. I heard he was out.

Hi Ward,
The pleasure was mine. It wouldn't hurt to caulk that seam. I suppose that if enough water got entrapped under those gunwale moldings it could come up and in through that seam.
