She looks like a sturdy little beast. I like the life-lines and I see two chain-plates on the port side. She looks like she would handle a some rougher weather. Are you buying her?

Oh, and at a SA/Disp ratio of a very sporty 29.49, hell yes you should buy it.

I've got 2 Mac 26D's already.
It's only $200.
The add:
Needs interior and mainsail
Has jib sails
Swing kehl
Trailer in great shape.
Will consider trades
Sails worth $500 on there own
Best offer takes it.

I'm thinking of leasing it and one of the 26D's out... Bare boat charter type deal.

South Coast? Check the HIN (hull identification number) usually on the stbd upper corner of the transom..

EDIT: Not South Coast, the mystery boat has two chainlpates on each side..

I have not seen the boat in person. Just those pictures. It's thought to identify with those shots!

The bow looks like a Clipper Marine, but I am not sure if they made a pop top.

My bet is Luger, but I cannot confirm it.

The sheer is kinda right for a venture, but the port light is totally wrong.

I believe that the boat is a Kells 23. Kells also made a 22, so it could be that.

Look up Kells 22 images on Bing and you'll see it.

A bit awkward... Some nice parts, though. It looks like a project boat that got out of control.

Not the same sheer line as the subject boat.
With the price "reduced from $25,000 to $7,500" I would expect a deluge of offers on that baby! :D

Wrong window for a Kells 22, but could have been replaced. The thing bothering me is the chainplates. Boat in pic has straps through-bolted to hull. Kells 22 has U-Bolts through gunnel. The pronounced sheer in the pic is distinctive.

A hull ID from the hull itself or from registration or title would be VERY HELPFUL.

I think.... (Still haven't seen the boat in person.) it's a South Coast 22.

I am awaiting the owner getting back to me on it. My original email to him was returned the next morning. If he is as busy as I am this time of year... It could be next week.
(I pulled a 13.25hr day today and I'm feeling it.)
Thanks for all the responses!
EDIT: A note about the chain plates... There are two on each side of this boat.... SC22's only have one on each side... I think it may be a owner built boat. SC did offer these 22's as a kind of kit back in the day.
I was hung up on the double chain plates too but from the little detail that can be seen in the hull and cockpit I'm pretty sure it's a SC22.
