Mysterious beep

Intermittently, and with out any specific circumstances, I get a beep from the buzzer on the Yanmar B type panel. This is on a 89 h30. I have studied the wiring diagram and want to suspect the buzzer itself. There are no lights illuminating when it beeps so I don't belive it it related to low oil pressure or high coolant temperature since the lights get their power and ground independent of the buzzer. "Beep" - 2 seconds pass, "Beep", 2 seconds pass, you could time something to it. It will stop beeping as abruptly as it started. This weekend it started to beep as I happened to be idling so it was relatively quiet in the cockpit. If I put my ear to the panel I could hear a very faint "eeeeeeeehhhh" sound from the buzzer - during the "beep" - 2 seconds - "beep" - 2 seconds..... Then it will just stop and may not do it for a couple of hours of running time. Curious if anyone has experienced this. Intermittent problems can be mind boggling. Thanks Doug s/v Brenda Gail

Loose wire

There probably is a loose wire that is making contact just ever so slightly. Check to see if any wires are too close, causing inadvertent contact. Or, a new ignition switch might be needed. Roc
