We nearly cancelled out on my B'day trip to Avalon due to the rainy day forecast but decided to go anyway, and glad we did. We took the Jet boat over for a great day on the island.

We raced yesterday on the J boat of MDR, and after an hour on the main I was exhausted. It was smart to take the big boat over. Come 3 pm, it was gorgeous though. Most of the time, I was in a polo and shorts.

Shelter Island, San Diego. Staying right at the marina. Life is good (for a coupe days anyway).

Thanks, it was pretty choppy out there in the channel yesterday. Even on the big boat people were being tossed around. In the shadow of the island it was beautiful.

When I was in the Keys several years ago, I went into the local marina office and saw the weather forecast "wind chill" 72 F.
Everyone in the store didn't understand why I laughed so hard for so long.......

Ha ha.
I can't say nothin this year. We're usually the ones in the -12 zillion for days on end. This year I think we've not seen -30 for more than 2 days. Your lakes aren't going to thaw till July.
