Looks Great Jim

Your connection looks great Jim, It will give you great manueverability at low speeds. As you probably already know, I have used a similar design. Recently,I have added one more piece of hardware that you may want to consider. I mounted a transom pintle with a 3/8 inch post at the back of the helmsman seat just above the rudder bolt at about where your "VA" letters are affixed. When I take the connector off the bolt on the rudder "whatchamacallit", I place that connector end on the pintle post so that the motor doesn't flop around when raised and disconnected from the rudder. p.s. I especially like the professional look of your connecting rod. Best of Luck, Bernie

So Jim, where did you get that bracket/plate that is on the forward end of your Honda 9.9 that you used to mount the motor pin? Tom M.

Bracket came with it

The bracket was with the motor, Crazy Dave threw me this bag of little goodies and it was there. There were two mounting holes with nuts already in place to receive it. At first I thought I was going to fabricate something until I remembered the bag. jim

Thanks Jim...

Guess I'll check that bag, I thought it only had tools and a spark plug... Thanks again. Tom M.
