I have a 2005 Huntr 33. I just discovered a leak under my pedastal. The screwed in cockpit sole will need to be taken up to inspect the source of origin. I discovered the leak when I noticed water collecting under the cushions in the aft berth. I traced it back to behing the barrel bolted access panel to the fuel tank and waste holding tank. Water was dripping through the area where the wiring for the electronic instruments met the pedastal with some type of putty. Stay tuned I am still investigating why this is happening. In the interim I recommend everyone do an inspection to check their pedastal base as well from underneath the area by the fuel and waste water tanks. Hopefully my problem is an isolated one.

be sure to check any wire looms under the steering cover-sometimes they are not completely sealed and can let water into the aft cabin

Aft Cabin Leaks

We had the same problem. First, we sealed the opening from the pedestal to the lazarette; then we removed the pedestal bolts and sealed those too. We now have a dry aft cabin! If you have a deck that covers the rudder post, check the screws that secure the cover and reseal. Those can be a problem too.
