Finally got my rail seat done for the boat. I got several pieces of 3/4" starboard from a local grocery store they were cutting boards for the kitchen.
Took me a day to sand down the one I used to get all the cut marks out and get them like new smooth.
I was going to put a small back on the seat about 2 inches high to make it feel a little more secure while sitting there but honestly now that it's in I'm leaving it as is.
Side note it makes a nice cutting board when I got fishing to cut bait.
All in all I was really surprised that it came out as good as it did.
I know it has zero interest for a lot of ya but I'm sure someone out there would like it.
Also makes a good diving board
The only thing I don't like about it is I wish I had some flat head counter sunk bolts but I didn't have any and the local hardware store didn't either and anything larger is an hour away.
I can always fix it later if it bugs me but thus far you cant feel them when sitting there so not to worried about it.
