Hi folks, I just bought this trailer for my Oday 22 shoal draft. I am told that's exactly what was on it before!
My question is this; is this pretty much what you would have bought with your Oday 22 shoal draft back in the 70's and 80's when the boat was built?

Needs a full length reinforced keel rest from beam to beam. Actually I would add 2 more cross channels to support the weight. If you don't, the center of the trailer will sag allowing to much weight on the bunks. The keel rest should support over 80% of the weight IMO. Since the after most bunk supports are not adjustable getting the keel rest height correct will be important or make the bunk support adjustable. License plate bracket is going to put a serious scratch in the boat.

Thanks Lee and Rick!
Already thinking about the keel Support.
The picture from that angle doesn't do the strength of the trailer Justice.
The tag bracket was to simply get it home! Lol
Thanks for the reply!

It doesn't hatch the "factory" trailers that I've seen for the early (1972-78) O'DAY 22s that I've seen, and in fact looks more like a Catalina 22 trailer. I've attached a pic of a 1973 boat and trailer. However, I did find a pic of a 22 on a trailer that looks like your "new" one, so....... maybe it will work!

I was thinking Catalina 22 trailer also Sunbird. But some steel, a little welding, a few adjustments, and some paint and it will make a fine O'Day 22 trailer.
