My dream is to sail I have a 81 MacGregor 25 that I am restoring does not have the keel I am trying to have one custom made but I don't have the dimensions and I don't know how does it really work in the actual book does anybody have pictures or video perhaps any info would help

You can probably find a wreak of a Mac 25 for parts less than you can build a new keel.
Haha haha is me first time, nice sunset by the way good picture I pretty much know the way and the length I can make me one now I just don't know how actually works how to set Ray up and down I guess picture pain this stop the water from coming in

the keel will have a 11/16" pivot hole for fitting a 5/8" pivot bolt, and a 1/2 or 9/16" bolt hole for the 3/8" lock down pin.
the positions for these and the thickness required can be found by taking measurements from the keel trunk itself.
the pivot hole is the lower hole and the lock down pin hole is the other one.... its higher.
the keel is designed so that as the keel is lowered, the part of the keel that is forward of the pivot, will roll up so the lock down hole in the keel lines up with the lock down hole in the trunk, so the pin can be inserted.
if you are making your own keel, make sure you design rake into it.... you can see a sketch of what the hull with the keel extended looks like here...

You will spend at least that much on the steel and labor to build a new keel. You could probably part yours out for $1500. Sell yours for parts and buy this one. Keep the better sails..

but then, neither is yours. very few boats are.... boats in general, yes, but very few particular brands or models can be considered in "high demand", and ANY boat with parts missing is in even less demand, but by fixing it, it can bring the value up, or at the very least make it usable.
And its a less than one percent of the average boat owner that will ever get the money we spent on our boats back, if we were to sell it.
most of those that claim they do, has a poor memory and hasnt kept very good track of their receipts.
as for the OP's mac25, anyone who has sailed a 25 and a 26, which is the newer model and considered to be in higher demand, knows the 25 is a more comfortable boat and arguably a better sailing boat... so I dont think he is wrong in his desires, but I do agree he may find a used keel for it cheaper than making one..... I have found patience is truly a virtue when searching for boat parts....

Keep looking and find a salvaged Mac 25 with a good keel. Strip off the parts and keep them as spares for your boat. Making a new keel will cost you way more than the boat is worth.
I did a quick search of Craigslist and found 614 Mac 25 sailboats for sale... you can find a keel for this boat.

I agree totally with those who suggest getting a junk Mac 25 and stripping it rather than having one made. Here in southern California, they are very easy to find. There are several abandoned ones in my boatyard.
