I have the fantastic plate on my C-22 1974, but I am unable to find the hull number. Is is possible my boat did not receive one?? I think I am looking in the right spot. Starboard side of transom?

I don't know about C22s specifically, but the hull number is usually embossed in the gel coat. However, that serial number looks like it.
The full number will include letters to represent the manufacturer, something for the specific plant, if there were more than one place they were made, a date, and the production serial number. The serial number is what typically goes on the sail.
