My Galley Sink Drain

Hi. The water seems to be going down very slowly in my galley drain. (much slower than it used to). I have twin sinks which drain into a 1" hose which goes down to the thru-hull. I suspect this 1" hose might be clogged. If I were to 'snake' the drain would it damage the thru-hull? I am reluctant to use any chemicals due to both the environmental impact or damage to the boat's plumbing. COuld I use a wet/dry vac to try and suck the clog back up the drain hose? Thanks in advncae.

Take the hose off the sink drains and the thru hull (with the thru hull closed). See what's there. Might be a good time to replace the hose(s). Open the thru hull briefly to confirm it is clear. Check the bar sink drains for clogs.

No need for a snake or chemicals.

First time I've heard of a Mark II with slow draining, so it's gotta be something in the hose.
