I have a Sevylor XR68 Sport inflateable. It has developed a slow leak. I believe it is a small, pin-sized leak, or a small leak in a seam. However I have been unable to "soap out" the source. I would like to fix my dingy, as replacement will cost many $$$. I have heard of stuff you spray into car tires that will fix leaks. Is there anything like this for a vinyl fabric inflateable? Someone has also suggested I pour a can of latex into the inflateable and "roll it around" in hopes that the leak will get fixed. Does anyone have experience with this kind of problem, and workable suggestions for repairs? Thanks Richard

Leak Fix

Yes, of course there is. Just look in a marine catalog, or see the web to find the product. West Marine, Boat US, Defender, look under dinghys.

Leak Fixed

Richard, Had the same situation on my Avon inflatable last season. Spent $40 on the latex leak stuff they sell at West marine. Did not expect too much but I figured it was small money versus buying a new dinghy. I am on my second season now with the same initial application I used at the beginning of last season! I have not had to pump up the dinghy at all. The stuff works as advertised. Greg Jones

mine too

I had the same problem with my Achilles. I bought some of the leak fix stuff from WM and it worked great. Pour some into each tube, inflate it and roll it around. Do this drill several times. This is the second season and it still holds air.
