My Christmas gift for you

Hi all,

With the many lighting options available for your boat, I thought I'd share this with you. 1 -solar light, 1-3/4 X 1/2 Tee, 1-1/2 elbow slipped. Cut the ground stake for a bushing to insert in the elbow. Then I drilled through the base of the light when it was assembled to keep it from coming apart. My wife added a strip of sticky back felt to hold it firm on the stanchion.

I love it...I'm gonna surprise the Admiral with a set of those for Xmas. Nothing like a home made gift. She is always saying we need some way other than sticking them into the winches to put the lights by the gate for ease of entry.

I have to say, All U Get, that you have one of the best implementations of this idea that I have seen. Pretty nice!

Curious how you figured how much to cut out of the Tee wall so that it would snap onto the stanchion?

Trial and error?
With a good strap perhaps in half?

Aren't those tees made that way to "tap" existing PVC lines as in sprinkler systems?

The T is already made up as a clamp-on for tapping a line. It snaps on to the stanchion without you cutting anything.
