Muriatic, vinegar and odorlos

Hi Peggy - would you please comment on any interactions or things to be aware off when using the above. I find odorlos works great for us, but wonder when we add vinegar or muriatic acid if this negatively affects the nitrates and oxygen level in the holding tank. Thanks for any help you can provide

Why would you ever ADD muriatic acid?? It should ONLY be used to remove a SERIOUS buildup of sea water minerals in the plumbing.

Which you should never need if you flush a cupful of undiluted distilled white vinegar (not cider) through the system once a week. DO NOT leave vinegar sitting in the bowl!! And a cupful--two at most-- is all you need. After an hour, rinse behind it with a quart of clean fresh water. Vinegar will not upset the balance in the tank.
