Muriatic acid to clean heat exchanger? Dilute?

I have a gummed up heat exchanger on my 91 H30. I've heard that muriatic acid can be used to dissolve the deposits. Can someone advise how to use it - neat or diluted please? Thanks in anticipaion

12% solution in water

is recommended for removing sea water mineral deposits. Follow directions for mixing carefully, and wear protective gear including safety glasses.

radiator shop

if its easy to take off, a radiator shop will clean it for less than a hundred dollars. they charge around 40 here.
