Multiple small ice boxes

Is it feasible to daisy-chain two small evaporator units onto the ColdMachine compressor? I am thinking about creating another icebox near, but not adjacent, to the existing ice box if I can chain two small evaporators (the iceboxes are small to begin with) together onto one compressor. Thanks for any replies. Pete

This won't work.

This won't work, Pete. A modern refrigerator works by compressing a refrigerant gas into a liquid state. This liquid then travels to the evaporator where it is allowed to expand and evaporate to its gaseous form. During this state change (liquid to gas) the refrigerant absorbs heat. The effect is much the same as when you step out of the water and the liquid water on your body evaporates to become water vapor. It cools your body. Daisy-chaining won't work because the refrigerant entering the second evaporator will already be in its gaseous form. No expansionn/evaporation, and thus no cooling, will occur.

Possible But not easy

Check out the link -- it describes running a separate refrigerator and freezer off one compressor. http://www.sailingworld.com/joecold/coltest4.htm You need multiple thermastats, a sonenoid operated valve for the coolant, and some know-how.

two evaporators

This would not work, as stated. You would need two compressors. one for each box.
